Thursday morning at 4:54 AM, we welcomed our perfect baby boy Kurt John to the world.

Three weeks ago, my sister-in-law and mother-in-law threw me and the baby a shower. :) I didn't have time to blog about it right away, but wanted to acknowledge the special day they planned for us nonetheless. I hadn't seen Luke's extended family in quite awhile so I was happy that almost everyone was able to make it. This baby is loved already and I'm so excited for you'll to meet him or her! Thank you to everyone that was able to come!
french toast day
Today, my mom and dad surprised Luke and me with a mid-morning visit. Even though we were already out of bed, we were still bumming around in our cozy clothes and not expecting a visit. This was all part of their plan considering they had one objective in mind... a Kidnap Breakfast. In my opinion it was a success! They took us to jonnie beans and I was thoroughly satisfied with their raspberry french toast and wild rice sausage links. So satisfied in fact that I went back for lunch for some more. :) I'm pregnant so I can get away with things like this.
baby shower
Thank you to my mom and all my friends who came to my baby shower last night. I am so grateful to have you all in my life! :) Also, a very special thank you to Amy and Nicole who did all the party planning. Luke and I got some really cool gear for the baby and are excited for him or her to get here so we can test it out!

Merry Christmas!
While our baby has been busy growing, Luke and I have been busy nesting! We spent the first two Saturdays in December attending childbirth class “Birth, Babies & Beyond”. We also decorated the house for Christmas and got the baby’s room ready. AND, last week we traded in my Honda Civic for a Toyota Highlander! So far we love it. I just have to adjust to the fact that we’ll need to fill the tank up a little more often. :( I’ve also been working on a new blog design. What do you think?
Well, we’re off to our first Christmas party of the weekend… Merry Christmas everyone!

Yesterday, I passed the eighth and final test needed to earn my Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation! After working towards this goal for over two years, accomplishing it feels so good! Thank you Federated for the incentives you’ve given me along the way and for the upcoming trip to the National CPCU Conferment Ceremony.

28 weeks
Hip hip for making it to the third trimester! The saying time flies when you’re having fun is so true. I’ve enjoyed carrying this little baby bumpkin with me everyday that I can’t believe he or she will be here in such a short amount of time. I haven’t done a great job of taking pictures to capture my growing bump, but I do have some to share so I’ll do that now. :)
